The road to nowhere.....

..... well for a few hours anyway! People here are saying they've never seen a high tide like this for many many years. Is was not possible to go anywhere this afternoon as both roads out of the village were flooded after a few miles so people had to sit it out. As for me, I was a spectator on the coast road and very nearly got caught out when I noticed the water lapping around the car wheels, whoops! Just as I was thinking about going home a friend arrived with her family and dogs to look at the water and the dogs had a great time splashing around. I tried to get to the post office a couple of hours later but the roads were still flooded. So went to my friend's for coffee and Christmas cake which was wonderful!

More progress with Misty on the car front. She is now happily jumping into the car onto the back seat. Next step is to actually get her into the boot which I know she'll hate.

Hope nobody has been badly affected with the storm.
