Friday: Anjum

It was lucky that I managed to get this shot at all.  We went out tonight with my colleague, Vicky, and her partner, Anjum.  When I turned on the camera, it immediately flashed up 'Battery Exhausted' and then died.  So I did the old warming the battery in your hands trick and managed to get a few shots.

Anyway, I have some sympathy with the battery.  But Anjum is only here until Sunday,  when he returns to Pakistan, so we rallied and had a very pleasant evening.  We hadn't met before this visit and he is incredibly likeable.

A colleague of mine from Slovenia was supposed to be coming down tomorrow and staying over but he rang today to say he couldn't make it.  It is absolutely no reflection on him that we were very relieved!  We just want a quiet weekend before the earnest of the working year really starts again.  And Monday is a holiday here, so a long weekend first!
