New Year's Day

We slept in, and had a nice morning of doing whatever we please. We did get our electric bill, and we are NOT HAPPY. We had a new electric furnace installed last Fall, since ours was over 30 years old and malfunctioned. We were told that a new one would be much more energy efficient. Alas....not so. Our bill was outrageous. That put a bit of a damper on our day.

I had the dropsies. Everything I picked up.....I promptly dropped. ugh. Good thing I wasn't around anyone with a baby. :)

In the early afternoon, we met up with some of our friends for a New Year's bike ride/walk. It was delightful. The weather was just right. Not too cold, and NOT raining. In fact, we have had nearly no rain this entire break. Surprising for us.

Sugar enjoyed bike riding with her friends, and I enjoyed some adult conversation. I couldn't help taking a few nature shots on our walk. It was so peaceful.
