My plans to go walk upriver in search of more flood shots went out the window today. The gas man arrived later than expected, and by the time he'd left it had started to rain again. So instead I walked to the park. The river had subsided slightly, but many of the paths were still underwater, and the ones that weren't, were very muddy after the recent inundation.

I gave up on the park and headed to the High Street where I stood watching these brave men at work, walking on air high above the town. For those of you who've followed the development of the new town centre, this is the crane that's been hard at work. Today they dismantled it! By the time I'd arrived, the main gantry had been dismantled, and they were in the process of removing the counterbalance arm.
