Dare Mighty Things

The Savoy. No Cabbage in sight.

Blip battle tonight with my dearest friend Nicole (ntys on here). Together, in London, hunting today's photo as we strolled from Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall, onto Embankment and back up to the Strand. Photo-ops-a-plenty.

As she goes back to Australia in 36 hours, I've let her have the London Eye and I opted for the location of our dinner tonight: The Savoy Grill at The Savoy.

You can't help but be taken aback by the mere sight of the emerald green typography leaping out as you turn and face the building but, frankly, nothing can prepare you for the splendour of the inside. The transformation of this iconic building, completed a little over three years ago is magnificent. There is something to see every time you redirect your eyes and the depth of the detail is quite staggering. If you happen to be walking down the Strand with 20 mins before a departing train from Charing Cross, just wander in and have a look around. You will be welcomed with a warm smile and an opened door.

The Grill is excellent. Reasonably priced pre-theatre menu, incredible service and an real experience.

Savoy Court is also the only road in London where it's legal to drive on the right. Apparently.
