Storm damage

Peaceful weather this morning so Snapper and I set off to Tayinloan to take a few shots of the small fishing boat that had run aground. It was in a very poor state of repair and we were told that insurance had probably already been paid and it would not be moved.

We walked back along the beach littered with storm debris and unremoved workmans stuff from when the pier was improved last year. There was a large rusty piece of metal among the seaweed that was very difficult to see and Snapper did the most spectacular face plant that I have ever seen when she tripped on it. Seaweed sticking to her clothes and face and her mouth full of seawater as she tried to save her Nikon. When we ascertained that everything was fine there was much hilarity. What a blip that would have been if I was quicker!

Here is a more distant shot of the boat taken (before the face plant) under tuition from snapper. I have dodged the boat slightly to bring it out.
