Tadcaster - The Bridge To Nowhere
This grand viaduct (11 arches in total) was built to accommodate a planned line from Leeds to York over the river Wharfe.
Unfortunately the investment collapsed and the line was never built. It was eventually used as a siding to link a nearby mill to another line. Hardly fitting for such a large structure.
It currently serves as a footpath.
