Swing in the Wind

I had a appointment at the hospital this morning to see the specialist. I saw a junior doctor at first who said that I wasn't looking after my hand and give me the 3rd degree.. Not nice at all and when I mentioned my other hand that I am on the waiting list on... she really became out of her depth! Finally she said I better get the specialist to have a look. He was totally pleased with the progress and said what I good job I have done so far at looking after it..well done indeed!

With my other hand I don't think he knew about what had happened back in November with the infection etc.. so said he wouldn't touch the hand for at lest six months or more and aksed was it bothering me and if not we should just leave it for now.. which is fine with me.. so I am now off the waiting list! I don't think that junior doctor had seen a hand like mine before and was out of her depth. Hope she improves with her bedside manner!

After the hospital I took a walk around the city on my way home. There was a lot going on and I took a lot of interesting shot. I thought this one was interesting, they were working at ''soft-stripped'', which means any remaining belongings are removed, as well as furnishings and gibbing.

For the next four to six weeks a 250-tonne crawler crane would begin the cut-and-crane process to bring the building down. It is scheduled to take about 14 weeks.

The apartments were built in 2005, the complex housed 17 apartments and were damaged in the February 2011 earthquake.

We have a sunny day but there is a very strong cold wind blowing!
