A man waving his Occitan flag at two women on stilts - some of the 30,000 people who marched through Carcassonne today demanding official status for the Occitan language. People from all over southern France were joined by others from Catalunya, Brittany and the Basque country. There was music, wine, good food and a lot of noise.
