Gate for Old Stockbridge Meat Market

The Stockbridge Meat Market gate was designed by Archibald Scott in 1825. The market never did well and closed in 1906. The gate still stands, and passing under it leads to a footpath that passes some modern flats and comes out in Hamilton Place.

There is a modern Sunday Market, started in 2011, in Kerr St, just around the corner.
