timeless

It is the hottest part of the day and this old lady pushes her cart full of bottles, old card, a broken plastic chair and anything that probably you or I would call rubbish. She fills that cart every day and pushes it from morning to night. I have seen her over 5km from here pushing it. I don't know where she comes from or where she goes but I have seen her do this for nearly ten years. I dont' know if the man with her is her husband but he never pushes the cart. He walks alongside.

This is just outside our house. You can see the local bus stop and there is always someone just sitting there even though there are no buses today as the one bus that runs this route has broken down. I just don't know what the people who regularly catch this bus do . it is always full ... The guy in the bus stop is often there. I have no idea what he does but he was one of the ones who so kindly helped my son when he broke his arm earlier in the week and he continues to ask after him. I also see him act as peacekeeper if a local row breaks out if someone has too much to drink. He seems to be the unofficial neighbourhood watch! and everywhere you see the placards with glamorous and beautiful models wearing silk and gold. A country of huge contrasts. A country I love.
