Odd collection 1: turtles

I have felt tired today and a little uninspired. Then I thought I could introduce my little, meaningless but bizarre collections. And in the future when inspiration fails me I could blip my other foibles.

None of my collections are valuable or particularly attractive but they do carry a story.
About 12 years ago I started to do some international travel. Whilst my children were growing up I could not leave them overnight. As a single parent it meant travel was restricted. Then they grew up and I was invited to go to Hong Kong. I found out that the turtle signifies long life in Chinese and so began to collect. Whilst on a European project I collected turtles across Europe some of which are exampled here.

Now it feels ironic that collecting turtles to ensure long life has somewhat failed, given I am unlikely to reach old age. But I have kept my collection, just I case something works!
