Blue Beauty At AOG

Amazing show of feathers and wing span in the Large Bird Slalom today! This Great Blue Heron was at the top of his game and no doubt will medal in the next round of the Alternative Olympic Games at Pacific Northwest Stadium. These big, lanky birds are amazing in flight and are hard to beat in the Low Altitude Gliding category of the competition, so it’s going to be quite exciting as the herons battle it out among themselves for medals.

The next phase of the Large Bird Slalom will pit Bald Eagles and Ospreys against each other in High Altitude Wind Current Riding, and then we’re on to the Hovering category where the Northern Harriers always excel.
