Merlin
Our male cat Merlin has never been the most cooperative of models when it comes to taking photos. I managed just three today before he had had enough.
I took a pic of our other cat Milo recently and used a combination of over exposure and fill flash to capture a heavily backlit subject. Today I did the same although Merlin wasn't as heavily backlit.
His big right eye is from a head trauma sustained about 10 years ago when he was roaming the neighbourhood. At the time he vanished for 3 days and when he returned home he was a bit beat up. I suspect he had a run in with someone who didn't like cats. Either that or a dog. Either way we were both relieved when he came home.
10 years on and he is 13 now. His health isn't the best and all I can say is thank goodness Jo works in a vet surgery.
I've had a fairly lazy Saturday. Well, I say that but my to-do list has a few ticks. I managed to get stung by a wasp while killing weeds. I foolishly went back to move the ladder and got attacked again, this time without getting stung. The nest was in the ladder. I will have to get Jo to sort it out after dark one night... she is good at that sort of thing.
Now I am sipping on a nice Shiraz.
