all up in the air

Beautifully sunny again this morning but still icy cold. So I took up friend Becky's recommendation to visit the Velvet Mill in the Borough. Em and I meandered around the former Wimpfheimer & Bro velvet mill, now turned over to artists studios, a micro brewery and an all important bakery. We bought a couple of mini cupcakes and ate them under the saw-tooth roof of the main hall, once a loom room now host to the winter farmers market. A gem of a place, it has been regenerated without losing it's industrial grittiness. Great afternoon playdate and tea with friends. Another winter storm tonight, betting there'll be no nursery tomorrow. Again. We won't find out until the morning so all plans for the day are on hold.
