Happy Valentine's Day

This pink flamingo makes the rounds in my neighborhood. It travels periodically from one house to another, wearing outfits appropriate for the season. I last saw it around Thanksgiving, when it was dressed as a pilgrim. It had to be rescued from the trash where my husband tossed it after finding it at the end of our driveway.

It is now appropriately dressed for Valentine's Day in a burgundy colored cape, purple rubber boots, and a heart shaped balloon wreath around its neck. It found a perfect display spot in a hollowed out tree trunk in the next door neighbor's yard. I think plans are already underway for its next appearance in March on St. Patrick's Day.
