The Tree

There were very many trees where I was today: visiting Dawyck Botanic Garden with fellow Blipper John McCann. Equipped with cameras and tripods, we experimented with some new techniques and approaches, blethered a lot and had two visits to the cafe, where we blethered yet more.

This tree caught my eye, and m' learned friend correctly identified it as Betula utilis jacquemontii, better known as the West Himalayan Birch.
