Couple Asleep On A Bus

I shot this on a bus in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow, in the early to mid 1990s with my old Nikon F3. I had to set it at 1600 ASA and 1/15 sec so I was delighted it came out. I like the horizontal heads (like Brancusi sculptures) and the hand cradling the face in the foreground. I think her face, simplified and out-of-focus, works nicely too. This is the original 'Skyroad', as I used it for the cover of my second collection, The Sky Road, published in 2007 and now available as an E-book.
