Our local fabulous art supply store held an afternoon demo of this mesmerizing art process, providing a variety of interesting pens, squares of nice paper and lots of inspiration for all the folks who attended. I spent a couple hours sitting there doing organized doodling, and, yes, it was fun.

But, oh, there's a terrible art snob lurking in my head who pooh-poohs the whole empire this technique has become. The doodles have cutesy names, and The Method has a load of rules and jargon, and there is a lot of talk about meditation and empowerment. It would be easy to mock.

But, yes, it was fun.
