Sun seeker

I've sometimes wondered whether, somewhere in his ancestry, cat genes got into Vinnie's bloodline...

He adores the sun, and today he got lucky. You can see how he positioned himself to take maximum advantage of it: he's probably got about 98% coverage, with only a couple of toes and the tip of his tail in shadow. (And I'm guessing that's due to the sun moving after he got settled!)

He will contort himself into almost any position to lie in a patch of sunlight. You can just see, in the shadows to the top left, our rocking chair. I once came into the room to find Vince under it (of course - that was the only place the sun was shining!) with his legs, tail and head twisted around and under the chair's legs and rockers in the most alarming manner - a tragic accident waiting to happen! (I still break out in a cold sweat imagining what the RSPCA would have made of it...)

But (when the sun went) he walked away unscathed - so maybe he's got the feline "nine lives" genes as well! :)
