Sailing!

Home after a really busy day......we actually made it to the Boat Show!!

Worth all the effort of negotiating the traffic both there and back! Our VIP Maglis Parking Pass became redundant when we arrived at the venue.....true to Dubai form...the logistics overwhelmed them and they were out of capacity! Not to worry...we headed to the Sky Dive area and took the water bus over the ocean to the entrance and had a whale of a time!!!

Just before the sun began to set...we traipsed steadily round the exhibits....overwhelmed by the wealth to be found in even the most ordinary of sea going vessels!!!! The most expensive luxury yacht was also on view for all to see. (top right, bottom left) See here

Our VIP passes enabled us to 'hob nob' with the upper crust in the floating lounge, sipping our martini dry's orange juice and sampling caviar garlic mushrooms, eavesdropping on the latest aquisitions to everyones back yard!

Even managed time on board, sitting enjoying the sundeck of an ocean going cruiser complete with its own jacuzzi, indoor disco and elaborate dance floor!!

We were definitely not the expected clientele the sellers were seeking....but they were not disappointed with the turnout of wealthy Gulf Arabs browsing their options!

Apart from the jellyfish......also viewing the various boat bottoms!.....the floral arrangements, layout and fantastic light shows were amazing.....not sure my collage has done it justice!

Fabulous day....but pleased not to be part of that scene on a permanent basis!!!
