Lifting the spirits

A bit of a murky start developed into a fine day, and now, late afternoon, the sun is shining and it is quite pleasantly warm in the back garden. It certainly makes one feel better to see a bit of sunshine!

Returning from a quick shopping trip to buy new suitcases, I noticed a carpet of crocus in the grounds of Cliffe Castle. The traffic was horrendous, so no way of getting across there. Therefore took to the garden and noticed lots of new buds on the Mahonia. Hopefully a good display of yellow flowers over the next few weeks if this weather keeps up.
