Rose Hips

I didn't get as far as I wanted needed to with the garden tidy-up yesterday, but at least managed to prune all the roses, and made a little collection of rose hips from the cuttings.

They reminded me of going to the NHS baby clinic next to my primary school as a child with Mum to collect free bottles of Orange Juice and Rose Hip Syrup, probably for my younger sister. I recall the orange juice had a wonderfully rich taste, but don't remember the syrup. Apparently they became frowned upon due to their sugary content, and were eventually withdrawn.
