Vicki and the rock...

Tomorrow is the 13th year anniversary of the day my son Jim and his friend Braden disappeared while kayaking on Bellingham Bay.
Every years we paint the I-5 ROCK in remembrance of the day they disappeared. We do this the night before so that on 3-11-2014 its ready for everyone who drives by to see.
There are thousands of layers of paint covering it expressing words of love, school reunions or just wondering thoughts or signs of their lives of those who paint it.
After we painted the rock we came to the casino to spend the night and celebrate their lives. Tomorrow we will get up and continue our tradition of throwing flowers in the bay, eating lunch and just honoring our sons.
