T for Tatties
14.2C starting dull then brightening late morning. Windy, with speeds of up to 32 mph and gusts to 44 mph.
Apothecary7 has a long weekend off work. A couple of carried over holidays added to Saturday and Monday days off. This morning we had one of our usual day off trips to the M&S at city quay. On the way home we stopped off in one of the country roads to see if we could get some photos. There were good trees, but I liked this pattern on the stacked potato boxes.
Tomorrow we are off to Edinburgh for a couple of days. Maeve the Deerhound will be dropped off at the kennels on Sunday morning, then we will take a train to Edinburgh.
Busy afternoon of 6 nations rugby:
Italy lost heavily to England.
Wales decisively beat Scotland who were reduced to 14 men after a ridiculous late hit on a player by the Scottish full back. Well spotted on the big screen replay referee. A courageous decision to bring back a yellow carded played and show the red. There was a spirited display by the Scots in the second half.
I'm off now to watch France play Ireland.
P.S. This is not part of the occasional alphabet series :-)
