Finland in "spring"

There was snowfall in Turku last night. Whilst this delighted me, my hostess was less impressed. However, in order to please me she took me to the island Ruissalo where we enjoyed a lovely walk in the snow. This photograph shows the mono landscape of Finland in spring. NB it is not presented in black and white: these are the real "colours". About two minutes after I took my picture we saw some Finns bathing in the icy water - crazy!

The other excitement of the day was this evening's sauna. I am now a fully qualified Finn.

Exercise today - walk around Ruissalo.
