sopes

Chris and I walked to the farmer's market this morning. Although several of our regular vendors weren't there, we did buy some Asian vegetables, boiled peanuts, and a fennel bulb which I will use in a salad during the week.

Since the weather was so nice (about 77F and sunny), we decided to enjoy lunch at the market. There's a great family run tamale stand which also makes one our Mexican favorites: sopes. Today they offered chicken and steak, so we ordered 2 of each to share. Delicious! The ladies that run the stand are so nice too; they deliver the food right to your table (not the usual practice here for other vendors).
