Star of Caledonia

Planned for Gretna this will be a massive sculpture inspired by James Clark Maxwell the famous Scottish scientist. Apparently, it has something to do with the analogies between the speeds of travel of electromagnetic waves and of light. The scale model was set up in Parliament today and my information about the sculpture is gleaned from there.

Needless to say, there was a lot of discussion about it and none of it involved electromagnetic waves or light.

Why is it in my Lent series?

Well, John Scott MSP sais it looked like a crown to him & would I wear it?

More like a Crown of Thorns said I. All those spikes.
