A Lump of Stone

Today I had a choice of a bright display of flowers, and a lump of stone  -   -   well actually a bit more than just a lump of stone.  

I don’t know much about the flowers, but I do know that the lump of stone is all that remains of the Rippingale Butter Cross.  Rather than try to relate about Butter Crosses here just follow this link for some info.
