The Halls are Alive...
The Halls are Alive... With The Sound of Music. The School Hall that is ;)
Here's the cast (scary Nazis and all!) doing a last rousing rendition of "Doh A Deer", and you can tell by the actions they're at the "Tea, a drink with jam and bread" stage!
The Dunbar Lyric Group gave a truly magnificent performance with astonishingly accomplished acting, singing and playing from a huge cast and orchestra. The nuns let rip, Maria was magnificent, our friend Sevy as Elsa was majestic, and the children - Oh! the children - were just astonishing. The confidence and comic timing from even the littlest was really lovely.
I sat with all four of my children for a full 3 hours of performance with only a 15 minute interval and despite finishing well after 10pm they were entranced right to the end - even the littlest!
And now home for a brief sleep before heading off to London just after 6AM with Malcolm for his 12th birthday weekend in London. Phew!
