Having A Giraffe
Do you know what a Giraffe is called in German - die Giraffe. Hard to believe it's a difficult language to learn, eh?
A wild day here, weatherwise. Most of our sunshine went and was replaced by the occasional April Downpour and one of our really windy days. Nevertheless the temperature in our heated-only-by-the-sun office still topped out at 26°C.
A funny kind of day. I had to wait at home until our Putzfrau* arrived at 8, which meant I was much later into the office and consequently much later away. I much prefer being able to go just after 3:30 but the cats loved the fact that I was at home until 8. Munni kept jumping on my lap and Moot kept falling over. They really like the company (which really means they're missing G - as do I).
Ooh and the thing that I noticed in the Supermarket but has been bugging me for years - when did that doing all your shopping without using a basket and not using bags to carry things start? I remember seeing it in Edinburgh from 2008 or so but I still don't get it.
*Putzfrau = Cleaner. She's here one morning a week and she's great. I am allergic to dust, you know.
