view from the door

Day 1 of our holiday and the 1st of the backblips. I took the laptop so was able to process pics but there was no internet access in out little cottage.
It was murky, and even foggy in places, on our way south but brightened up a little south of Newcastle and when we arrived at the cottage near Danby in North Yorkshire it was good enough to tempt us up the hill behind for a short walk. Just before sunset the clouds cleared to give lovely light on the hill directly across from our door - before that I thought the blip would be a pic of the cottage itself as there were some daffs to brighten it up.
