Tess

I have spent the day keeping this old lady company while her humans attended a special event at a prestigious Glasgow hotel - something to do with the 97th birthday of one of them.

Tess was rescued from the RSPCA three years ago. She was due to be put down the next day, so her name maybe should have been Lucky! She was also blind in both eyes, but she has since had an operation to restore the sight in one eye - all the new owners could afford - which has been very successful.

Tess's owners celebrated the special day without worrying about her being left so long. Apparently the icing on the birthday cake was a kiss from Johnny Beattie* for the birthday girl! Result!
