Blue haze
Massed blue
Hovers above the layer of leaves
In the dappled shade of the wood.
Dizzying in their abundance,
Even the dead tree trunks
Dance
In delight.
It's been a difficult week - Tom had a nose op a week ago and has been very unwell since so life has revolved around looking after him and fitting in gardening when I could. Today I took Tom out for a short walk in some local woods where the bluebells were out - the first time I've done any photography outside the garden for some time ... The bluebells were almost overwhelming in their massed blueness in the dappled light in the woods. Just beautiful. The dead wood structures set off the flowers well. Although the walk knackered Tom, I think it did him good to get out and I hope he's on the road to recovery ...
I really will make some time to catch up on journals soon. In the meantime, I've backblipped a few:
Mobile home
Stretch
Flight path
Stone breakers
Bleeding heart
Off to bed - got a busy day tomorrow in Essex and London.
