Meet Amy...my brother's next door neighbour and one of my closest friends. It was her birthday last week and her party's on Saturday which is the main reason I'm up to visit. We went out for a meal and a drink in the Metrocentre and it was great to catch up having not seen each other since Xmas. Most of it was usually spent laughing...don't think it's long before we banned from the Metro!

The food was ok but some parts were questionable; mainly the soup but to call it that would've been a compliment. Ah well, you live and learn I guess. Drinks at Spoons were a lot better, especially as she didn't get served last time! Not going to go into too much details but she was in a car accident not too long ago and this was the first time I'd seen her since so even though I knew she was recovering well, it was great to finally see her in person! You wouldn't think she'd been in one looking at her and after a few attempts she finally didn't mind the camera much. Not the easiest thing to do but it's gonna be happening a lot at her party so she's gotta get used to it!

Milkshakes and air-hockey followed...because a grown up day out is boring! Great to have a break from revision/essay hell as well as a long overdue catch-up with a great girl.
