Yesterday, after I had blipped we went to Dunham Massey where they have recreated Stamford Military Hospital which was set up in the house during WW1. A few photos here.
Today we headed to the village of Lymm where the annual duck race was being held. My One Street, aka the Bridgewater canal, goes through the heart of the village.
The gentleman on the right mowing the grass is Matthew Corbett. His father was Harry Corbett the creator of the children's television puppet, Sooty. Matthew took over Sooty from his father in 1976. His great uncle was Harry Ramsden of fish and chip fame. Matthew lives in a lovely canal side cottage by the bridge in the centre of Lymm.
Today's Mono Monday challenge was transport.
More photos from today here.
