Bluebell ladybird
I decided to go back into Pipehall Woods to see how the bluebells were doing. I was lucky. I managed to have the whole of the Jubilee Woods section to myself, even though it's a sunny Bank Holiday.
Bluebells are hard to capture - so I was waiting for an orange-tip butterfly to settle. I'd taken several shots of the amazing scenes, but I knew they wouldn't be so stunning on the camera. As I was waiting for the lively flutterby to settle, I spotted this little ladybird, gracefully gliding over the bluebell.
Irresistible.
This shot is just cropped. The rather otherworldly look was just the lighting I think.
