LIBERATION DAY IN GUERNSEY
Today we are at St Peter Port in Guernsey, having come in on the bus, to celebrate Liberation Day.
Today is the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey after 5 years of occupation by the Germans.
Yesterday we visited the Occupation Museum, which was very interesting and today it was an honour to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Guernsey people as they celebrate the freedom the Liberation brought to the Channel Islands.
There is something for everyone - stalls, barbecues, a WWII Food Kitchen, memorabilia and much more and would you believe it, Mr HCB bought even more books!
The secret of happiness is freedom,
the secret of freedom is courage.
