Welcome to the New Crop of Dancing Girls!
I can tell that spring has sprung officially, because one of the local greenhouses has a tent by the mall, and on Friday I couldn't resist any longer: I went there and bought some plants! The list included green peppers, tomatoes, and several fancy varieties of osteospermum, which you are likely to see on these pages one of these days soon.
But the highest place of honor on my list was reserved for these wee pink gals (fuchsia blooms): meet this year's new crop of Dancing Girls!
And so, in spite of the fact that it was Monday, we had an itty bitty tiny party for them, which included welcomes from the Jeweled Stag, the Crittergators, and both of our visiting Disney Princesses, Ariel (the Little Mermaid) and Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty).
And Dexter the Tabby provided his own brand of welcome, which involved sniffs, licks (do they have a flavor?), and a meeting of pinkee toepads and Dancing Girls that might have turned tragic, but in the end, it didn't. In the end, it was all beautiful.
The song: The Kinks, Come Dancing.
