Palace Theater

The theme for MonoMonday with Palladian is "Exits and Entrances". As I was driving over to Manchester where there are many striking examples, I started thinking about how this could be interpreted. I do like a lot of the architecture around the city, but entrances and exits can mean so much more.

We travel through exits and entrances in our relationships, in living and dying, in entering college and leaving, and one could go on and on about the many ways. We enter into something with one point of view and after awhile we may leave it or continue on, but changed in many ways. We hope to come away having learned from the experience, having grown and ready to open new "doors".

A good friend lost her 20 year old grandson on Friday after what should have been a very routine surgery. He was on life support for several days and during that time his mother connected with a medium who "saw" him struggling and confused between life and death. In the end, I guess he chose death, or maybe he didn't have a choice.
