Along the Track
Late this afternoon I started walking along the railway access road towards Medlow Bath. I had in mind to blip the old convict pits along there, but ran out of time so they will have to await another day.
This track used to be a handy back road east for those times when the highway is blocked with a bad accident. In recent years it has become virtually impassable but I see it has recently been improved considerably, at least as far as I walked.
It is marked "authorised access only" which is probably fair enough as it is hardly suitable for much traffic. However it is good to know there is some sort of alternative route in case of emergencies as the highway is the only through road across this part of the mountains.
