The Boat House!

This boat house isn't ours - it belongs to our neighbour!

Originally it was a basic stone shed but over the years he had added bits and pieces of ornamentation to it, mostly made of concrete! The bosses are cast in the bases of soft drink bottles, the pinnacles in traffic cones! You'll have to go large to see the detail, but tennis balls and the plastic trays you get roasting chickens in have also been used! His wife says he looks at everything with a view to what he can make it into!

Ollie and I walked along the beach to see them this afternoon for a bit of a plant swap. It is much quicker than going via the road, so long as the tide is out!
