Jetty

Had a little expedition across 'my' island. It's a funny place, on the edge of the city, stretching into a large lake. All houses here are newly built and there's not much elso to do or see; much is still undeveloped land where weeds and grass have taken root.

Across the water you see here, the countryside of Noord-Holland begins, but while that could be very idyllic with its dikes, mills and agricultural fields from here it's hard to see that - as you can see from the picture too. There is much concrete stuff (the concrete thing on the other side is the entrance of a highway tunnel), electricity poles, a large bridge. As photographers we know that industrial/urban can be nice, picturesque/idyllic can be nice, but it poses a challenge to combine the two ;)
