Team Gecko

A very hot and slightly long Shrewsbury half marathon this morning.

The organisation left a lot to be desired really and there was a 25 minute -in baking hot sunshine- delay before the start. The first water station at 4.5 miles was too far in this weather too.
That said all 7 members of the Blood Sciences team -2 of them had left by this point- managed to get round without collapsing...always a bonus.

The person who designed that route must have been some kind of sadist, it was hill after hill after hill. It was made slightly easier by the number of shouts around the course though.
