J is for...

Jacaranda and June. The beautiful jacaranda tree, with its purple blossoms, starts to bloom near the beginning of June in southern California. To me, it is one of the harbingers of summer. Last week I noticed this tree on a morning walk, and its location on the little rise gave the appearance that the land just dropped off beyond where it stands. I also like the white split rail fence in front of it, that gives it more interest. I finally photographed it today as my blip.
