Maybe the Commonwealth Games has something to do with it! £1 per half hour or if you subscribe for a year - £60 (£30 if you sign up before the end of June) and then 30 minutes is free, and 50p for every additional 30 min. One can be rented via an app, online or holding a customer card against the on-board computer. Good local map with bike stations that show availability on their website.
