Widgery Cross
Taken not long before sunset. There are many crosses on Dartmoor but this is the tallest at 12 feet 8 inches (3.86 metres). It was built by William Widgery, a local artist (I do wonder what he would make of digital photography) to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887. It stands on Brat Tor on the western edge of Dartmoor high above Lydford.
Better large.
