Shuffling in the sands

HV and I had a really good evening with Emmy food was munched and wine was drunkled. There seemed to be a bit of hilarity. Nice.

My beautiful girl had the day off today, so I took the day off too and we pootled in the house this morning before capturing Evie the Wonderdog and heading to the shore at Stromness. We paused whilst shuffling through the sands and found groatie buckies. 17 of them. They are properly called northern cowries and are quite a rare find. They are supposed to bring good luck and many folks will keep a jar of them about the house. These ones make the start to our collection.
