Research shows that walking 10,000 steps a day will significantly improve your health. Putting one foot in front of the other can build stamina, burn excess calories and give you a healthier heart.

10,000 steps is approximately 5 miles.

We received these for free at work and I tried it out for a day. The number pictured on the pedometer is actually the amount I walked in about half a day -- I accidentally pressed the reset button during lunch. I need to wear this thing more so I can get a better estimate at the average amount of walking I do.
