Wide Water Lock No. 86
Had a trip over to Harefield today to meet friends and fellow blippers Gill and Trevor. Spent a lovely morning with them down by the canal.
This was one of the first pictures I took. We had just arrived at the canal and there was a barge about to come through Wide Water lock. I took a few pics of the barge entering the lock and then moved to the downstream side to get this picture of the water being released into the canal to lower the barge.
I used the Big Stopper on a 30 second exposure to get the soft silky effect to the flow of water. I particularly liked the way it looks like a mist has settled over the water.
